Effetto Cinema Film Festival
3rd edition - Bienno (BS)

Organization

The independent film association Effetto Cinema, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bienno (BS), is organizing the third edition of the Effetto Cinema Film Festival, aimed at Italian and foreign filmmakers.

 

All the required and received short films will undergo a selection process by the competition's organizing committee. The finalists will be screened during the event. The jury, composed of members of the organizing committee, will examine and award the best short films at their own discretion. Any other awards or special mentions will be given at the discretion of the jury

Participants

All Italian and foreign filmmakers who have reached the legal age can participate in the festival, with works that have a maximum duration of 10 minutes (including titles).

 

Foreign language videos must be subtitled in Italian.

 

The works must be sent through one of the following platforms:

  • Via WeTransfer (free up to 2gb) or Filemail (free up to 5gb) service to the email address effettocinemafilmfestival@gmail.com. It is required to send the work in a folder (or a compressed file .zip or .rar) containing the work file in .mp4 format and a text file (.txt, .doc/.docx, .pdf) with the presence of the following elements: title of the work, data of the person in charge of the work (name, surname, email address, and phone number), direction, and a brief synopsis;

  • Online platform Click for festivals (www.clickforfestivals.com);

  • Online platform FilmFreeway (filmfreeway.com).

Works that exceed 10 minutes, including titles, will not be admitted.

Registration mode

Registration is free and must be made by:

October 31st, 2023.

Each competitor can submit a maximum of 1 short film produced no earlier than 2020.

Winner announcement, awards, and screening of the works

The selection of finalist and winning works will be made by the evaluation committee at their own discretion.

 

The authors of the finalist works will be notified by email and/or telephone 15 days in advance of the event.

 

Those who will not be able to attend the award ceremony will be asked to send a thank-you video message that will be screened during the event. Accommodation and/or meals expenses will not be covered by Effetto Cinema.

 

The awards ceremony will take place during the evening of the competition on November 18, 2023 at the Teatro Simoni Fe’ di Bienno (BS).

Prizes

  • Best Italian short film: €100,00 + Plaque;

  • Best animation short film: €100,00 + Plaque;

  • Best foreign short film: €100,00 + Plaque;

  • Best actor: €100,00 + Plaque;

  • Best actress: €100,00 + Plaque;

  • Audience Choiche Award: €100,00 + Plaque.

The Audience Choice Award will be given after collecting the votes from the audience present at the end of the screening of all the finalist short films.

General rules

Participants themselves will be responsible for the quality and integrity of the file sent, as well as the legitimate ownership of the images and soundtracks used, or their use in accordance with the law.

 

The association declines all responsibility regarding the control of copyright for what is presented in the competition.

 

The submission of the completed registration form implies full and unconditional acceptance of these regulations.

 

Any program changes will be communicated via the online platforms mentioned above or via email.
